The Dominator is the ultimate short-arm shock package, delivering unmatched on-road comfort while maintaining serious off-road capability. It’s the most well-rounded option in the Carli lineup—anything beyond the King 3.0 system shifts more toward off-road performance at the expense of daily ride quality. For those who want the best balance between highway smoothness and trail readiness, while keeping factory short arms, this system is the perfect fit.
At the heart of the Dominator are Carli Signature-tuned King 3.0” remote reservoir front shocks, paired with rear 3.0” piggyback shocks. To handle these oversized dampers, the factory spring buckets must be bored for proper cycling. Unlike off-the-shelf Kings, these shocks use custom pistons and flow rates designed specifically for heavy-duty trucks, then fine-tuned by Carli for optimal performance. Shafts are machined and polished from solid 17-4 stainless steel—stronger and more durable than King’s coated stock shafts, with no brittle coating to chip or wear away. Each King shock also features a plated steel body; for long-term exposure to harsh weather, we recommend wrapping them with 3M film as a replaceable moisture barrier.
Installation Notes: Shock towers are required. Upper and lower front spring buckets must be bored to 4.5”. The rear shock crossmember requires clearance and reinforcement with the Carli Gusset Kit. For maximum durability, a fabricated axle truss and rear shock mounts are highly recommended.
